The Two Sides of Mary Wells is the seventh studio album by American soul singer Mary Wells, released in August 1966 by Atco Records.
The album's unique concept splits her musical style into two distinct halves:
-
Side One (Soul/Rock): Features energetic rhythm and blues covers of popular contemporary hits like "Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones and "Dear Lover".
-
Side Two (Pop/Jazz Standards): Shifts to polished, traditional pop and jazz ballads, showcasing her vocal versatility on classics like "The Shadow of Your Smile" and "Squeeze Me".
